ADD & ADHD

in Children

Rely on the training, experience, and know-how of East Lake Pediatrics to help treat your child with ADHD. We understand that inattentiveness can be frustrating, especially during the childhood and teen years, and we're here to help.

Making pediatrics a breeze for you and your little ones.

The experts at East Lake Pediatrics have completed extensive training in screen for and treating ADD/ADHD in kids. We strive to educate families on ADHD and help them treat the condition in a safe, productive manner. It is important to realize that kids are more active than adults, which can often make them less attentive. This is often normal and no cause for concern.

Treating ADHD of All Types

Occasionally, inattentive behavior can be extreme and may constitute Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD can occur in multiple ways, such as poor performance in school, misbehavior, and difficulty making friends. There are three types of ADHD:

  • ADHD Predominantly Inattentive – the child finds it difficult to pay attention
  • ADHD Predominately Hyperactive-Impulsive – the child is hyperactive or acts on impulse too frequently
  • ADHD Combined Inattentive and Hyperactive-Impulsive – a combination of the previous two
